This chime is named for the stormy blue planet first observed through a telescope in 1846. Neptune is the eighth planet from the sun. In Roman mythology, Neptune was the god of the sea, an apt name for a planet with the nickname "Blue Giant."

I bought these wind chimes for my father’s birthday because he loves to meditate on the back porch. The audio clip on the website helped me pick the perfect chimes for meditation and was very accurate to how the chimes sound in real life. Was completely unprepared for how large these chimes are, but the sound is so soothing and beautiful that I can’t bring myself to return them. They are way too oversized for my small porch but they sound amazing.
