Materials: Cherry finish ash wood, 6 silver aluminum tubes.

Celebrating the rituals of spring, this wind chime is tuned to the iconic and lingering notes of the opening theme of Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring.

Recalling his strongest memory of his Russian childhood, "The violent Russian spring that seemed to begin in an hour and was like the whole Earth cracking", is said to be the inspiration for the Introduction. This momentous ballet score, which created a riot at its premiere in Paris in 1913, has had a profound influence on music to this day. Its evocative sound lends itself well to the randomness of a chime played by the wind. Hanging this windchime could be your personal ritual in the spring or leave it hanging year round for music in all seasons, indoors and out. (For more information on Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, read this NPR piece.)

This chime carries a lifetime tuning guarantee.
